Cassia County Fair 2015

Pretty Great Year at the Cassia County Fair!  One of the bigger and more competitive shows around featuring a Born & Raised Steer Show along with the Heifer Futurity Show and the County Shows.

Amber Smith sporting her new belt Buckle for Reserve Champion Steer in the Cassia County Born & Raised show.  Over 45 head showed.  This was Lot #17 B816 Cornerstone from our 2014 sale.  Amber also worked hard with this steer & came back in the Champion go around for the Showmanship competition. Nice Job!

Congratulations also go out to Lynnsey Tracy with her 1st place Class Win in the Born & Raised show with Lot #3 BU8 from our 2014 Sale.

Congratulations to Briggs Matthews for his 1st place class win in the Born & Raised and County Show both with lot #26 BS312.  Over 85 head showed in the County Show.   For Briggs' first year he also came back in the Fitting & Showing Championship.  Way to Go!!

Brodey Ottley with Grand Champion Cow/Calf pair in the Cassia County Heifer Futurity & County 4H Show.  Also named Supreme Champion in the County Show.

Kamri & Brodey showing off their new belt buckles won at the Cassia County Heifer Futurity Show. Both of them also were in the Champion Run for Fitting & Showing in the County show.

Working hard to get ready for the Fair!

We have enjoyed getting out to some early shows and seeing how everyone has done with their projects. Good Job Studer family for their nice showing at the Minidoka County Fair in Rupert, Idaho with 4th place overall, and also to the Belnap family for their 4th place overall finish at the Bingham County Fair in Blackfoot, Idaho.

Big Congratulations to Randa Allen from Richfield, Idaho who won Grand Champion at the Lincoln County Fair, in Shoshone, Idaho with her homegrown raised steer & Barker Genetics! The Sunseeker heifer they bought in 2009 has been bred to Barker Bulls the past 2 years and has now won back to back Grand Champion!

The kids have really been working hard to get their steers & heifers ready to go to the Fair.  We're looking forward to hearing about more successes as the Fairs are in full swing now.

Brodey and his bull calf  (sired by JJ NIght Ride) from his Sm x Chi-Maine Cow BY51 Black Jack. Will be showing in the Heifer futurity & County show.

Kamri at the practice show getting her steer set up.  Excited for the Born & Raised show and County show with over 80 head showing.

Heifers on the Move!

We brought the 175 head of Angus heifers home from Malta that we have bred and are getting ready to preg-check on Wednesday.  Will be looking for a good home to send them to as they are GeneMax tested and bred to Angus calving ease bulls.  Look for more info to come on them!
