Here Come The Girls!

Check out the heifers' pictures! It was a cold, foggy morning the day we filmed them, where everything was completely white and we were worried we wouldn't get to take the pictures. About part way through, the fog cleared and the heifers came in and posed almost instantly. We were done in no time.  Unfortunately they couldn't be born as a bull & we can't keep everything, so decision time was a hard choice.  I wasn't invited to come that day!

Here Come The Bulls!

After spending a busy couple of days cleaning bulls & heifers, it's always nice to see the product of the hard work.  You hold your breath and hope that the pictures turn out good and you have some good ones to represent what you're offering.  The bulls didn't cooperate nearly as well as the heifers did for their pictures, but we thought they looked really good considering the nasty weather we've been having.  Flooding & below zero temperatures have been hammering us, but Braden has been working hard cleaning pens and keeping everyone clean & looking good.  Take a look for yourself and see what you think...of course anyone is welcome to come see them in person too.  It's quite impressive to get in amongst this group.

Row, Row, Row your boat!

Tom commented the other day this weather is acting just like a woman...can't make up it's mind what it's going to do.  One day it's in the minus temperatures, the next it's up to 40 degrees. One day it's a white out with a foot of snow coming, and the next it's raining with flood waters, ice, & slush everywhere.  The only consolation is we're not trying to calve in it.  Hopefully it will be settled down by that time.

Lot 1 Progressing Nicely!

Thanks to Kylie Kunzler from Park Valley, UT for sharing some pictures of her & Lot 1 at some local Jackpot shows they have attended.  We love to hear how things are going, so please send along your pictures & touch base with us too! Nice job, Kylie!  Keep up the good work.

"He has been really fun to play with and show! He's eating well and we have taken him to two jackpots these past few months. The first one was the Fall Kickoff in Spanish fork. He won class 6 and weighed in at 670lbs. Christmas Classic jackpot: He won class 6 again and weighed in at 694. He's been really fun to show and can't wait to see what he keeps doing in the future. The next jackpot is the 10th and 11th of February, its the Breeders Cup in Hurricane. Here's some pictures of the past shows!"
